What you can appeal

- Temporary suspension of your account
- Permanent termination of your account (where applicable)
- Restriction of specific features (posting, messaging, going live)
- Removal of a Hopenity Page you manage
- A counter-notice to a copyright or trademark complaint that was upheld

How to submit an appeal

- Your account username or registered email — so we can locate your account
- The decision you are appealing — content removal, account suspension, feature restriction, etc.
- URL or description of the content — if your appeal relates to a specific post or content item
- Why you believe the decision was incorrect — explain how your content does not violate the Community Guidelines or Terms of Service
- Any supporting information — context, links, screenshots, or other evidence that may help the review team

How appeals are reviewed

The reviewer will consider all information you provide alongside the original report and any available context about the content.

Hopenity will respond to your appeal within 10 business days. Complex cases may take longer and you will be informed.

You will receive a written outcome explaining whether the appeal was successful and, if not, the reason for maintaining the original decision.

Decisions that are not appealable

- Accounts terminated for CSAM — these are permanent and non-reversible
- Accounts terminated for terrorism or imminent threats to life
- Actions taken at the explicit direction of a court or regulatory order

If you are an EU resident and your appeal is denied, you may have additional rights under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). Hopenity will provide information about available out-of-court dispute settlement bodies where required by the DSA. For privacy-related disputes, you may also contact your local data protection authority.
