This page explains the process for law enforcement agencies and government authorities who need to submit legal requests for user data, content preservation, or account information. It also explains how Hopenity protects user privacy while complying with lawful orders.

Hopenity responds to legal requests only where backed by valid legal authority — a court order, subpoena, search warrant, or equivalent lawful process.

Hopenity provides only the data specifically requested and required by the legal process. We do not produce data beyond the scope of the request.

Where legally permissible, Hopenity will notify affected users before or after disclosing their data to law enforcement.

Hopenity complies with applicable law in the jurisdiction where the legal request has authority. Requests inconsistent with applicable law or Hopenity policies will be reviewed carefully and may be challenged.
হোপেনিটি যে এলাকায় আইনি অনুরোধের কর্তৃত্ব আছে সেখানকার প্রযোজ্য আইন মান্য করে। প্রযোজ্য আইন বা হোপেনিটি নীতির সাথে অসঙ্গত অনুরোধ সতর্কভাবে পর্যালোচনা করা হবে এবং চ্যালেঞ্জ করা হতে পারে।
Emergency requests must be submitted to emergency@hopenity.com and must include: the nature of the emergency, the specific information requested, and the requesting officer's contact information and credentials. Hopenity will evaluate emergency requests promptly and in good faith.

Hopenity's default practice is to notify users when their data is the subject of a legal request, unless prohibited by law, court order, or where notification would risk immediate harm (such as interfering with a child safety investigation). If a non-disclosure order is attached to a legal request, Hopenity will comply with that order for its duration and notify the user when legally able to do so.
